Learn how match, team, player, period, half, map, and Asian totals settle, with examples for whole, half, and quarter lines.
Half lines
Over 2.5 goals wins at three or more and loses at two or fewer. Under 2.5 does the reverse. Because the line includes a half, a push is impossible.
A total can refer to the whole match, one team, one player, a quarter, a half, a set, or a map. Read the full market name.
Whole lines and pushes
At exactly 3.0, a total of three generally pushes and the stake is returned. Four or more wins an over selection; two or fewer wins an under selection.
A void or push is not a win. Check how it affects combination bets.
Quarter totals
Over 2.25 splits the stake between Over 2.0 and Over 2.5. Exactly two goals push the first half and lose the second. Three goals win both halves.
Under 2.75 splits between Under 2.5 and Under 3.0. Exactly three goals loses the first half and pushes the second.
Settlement traps
- Extra time may be excluded
- A postponed event can trigger a time-window rule
- Player totals may need minimum participation
- Official statistics can be corrected
- A live market may start after part of the event has occurred
Totals are not easier predictions
An over can feel more entertaining and an under can feel safer, but neither preference changes the true uncertainty. Compare price and rules, then stay inside a fixed budget.
Use the information, not a prediction
Rules and operator terms can change. Confirm the market, payment route, eligibility, and account conditions directly before making a decision. Stop if gambling is no longer affordable or enjoyable.
